Biography<\/span>\r\n\r\nUnfairly accused of plagiarism age eight, I renounced poetry and decided \r\nto become a novelist. I almost finished my first novel\r\nbut not before I developed agoraphobia. I decided to leave my desk and \r\nWork for the Literary Agency of Jan Van Loewen(Shaftesbury Avenue)\r\nwhose clients included Jean Cocteau, Jean Anouilh and Peter Weiss. I\r\nwas consequently lured into writing for the theatre.\r\n        Theatre of the Absurd\r\n                Agit-prop\r\n                    Annarchial English Comedy\r\n                              Existential Philosophy\r\nGreat times for ravenous minds!\r\nThe plot of my first play Henry's War was copied from a Friedrick\r\nDurrenmatt play and was chosen by David Wheeler of the Theatre \r\nCompany of Boston, Mass.  I naively believed I had 'arrived'. \r\nMy second play was a commission for the Loeb Drama Center, \r\nHarvard University Mass. at the height of protest against the\r\nVietnam war and the second wave of feminism, hence the title.\r\nHere is the poster. I'm afraid I do not have a program but it\r\nwas directed by Geralyn Horton, who became a true friend\r\nand Jon Kaiser, another friend, both of whom are still active in\r\ntheatre.<\/strong>\r\n\"assassination<\/a><\/pre>\n
\u00a0 My third play was a complete departure. \u00a0SPACED, set on a spaceship which had lost Earth, was a poetic response to the \u2018eagle has landed \u2018 \u00a0with speaking parts for furniture and an ancient menhir. \u00a0\u00a0 Philosophical and pretentious perhaps but Marilyn Arsem directed and wove a transcendent spell over the best of audiences, an experience which changed her mind about conventional theater forever.\u00a0 After\u00a0 directing my play, SPACED, she founded Mobius, Boston\u2019s first experimental theater company.

My first commercial break came when I was chosen as a Eugone O’Neill Playwright, see below, for my play Angela Hitler<\/p>\n
