Chronic Competiton

This play had a successful run at Boston Center for the Arts in Boston.   This is a comedy with a built-in criticism of the competitive ethic, rife in Western Civilization but especially in Boston. I learned with this play that a comedy is not always funny for those involved in getting it up  I have had less anxious moments with my tragedies but the sensitive direction by Geralyn Horton gave the audience lots of laughs.

The cast was brilliant! (from left to right)

Jason Myatt, E Grace Noonan, Joe Benn, it ran for four weeks at Boston Center for the Arts, Boston (home of the Boston Marathon), Mass.
Later, inspired by Winter’s Tale,  I added a sequel which I felt was needed to resolve the competitive element tearing people apart. The subsequent epilogue is a one act that can stand alone But when both plays are performed in one evening, (which happened at Revolution Theater, in Chicago) the title is A Stupid Man.
